General Vendor FAQs & Guidelines

Canopies & Umbrellas

Canopies are not permitted at this event.
A patio umbrella is required for all booth spaces, regardless of weather conditions.
Umbrellas must be white, tan, cream, beige, or another approved neutral color.
Umbrellas may not exceed 7.5 feet in diameter.
If you have received a written exception from The Makers Hive Market to use a branded or alternate-colored umbrella, you must be prepared to present that approval at check-in.
Please refer to the Vendor Guidelines (provided upon approval) for complete umbrella, booth setup, and display requirements.

Food Vendor Requirements

A Temporary Food Facility (TFF) Permit from the Orange County Health Care Agency is required for all food and beverage vendors, including vendors offering prepackaged food and/or product sampling, when applicable.
Vendors are responsible for obtaining all required permits and complying with Orange County Health Care Agency regulations.
Open-flame cooking and on-site food preparation are not permitted. This includes grills, BBQs, griddles, fryers, propane burners, and similar cooking equipment.
Food that is prepared off-site, prepackaged, or served in compliance with all applicable Orange County Health Care Agency regulations is permitted.

Anaheim Packing District Property Guidelines

Vendors must comply with all Anaheim Packing District property rules, event policies, and operational requirements.
Additional venue-specific guidelines, including setup, load-in, parking, noise restrictions, and operating procedures, will be provided in your Vendor Guidelines and Load-In Email.
Failure to comply with Anaheim Packing District policies may result in removal from the event without refund.

Refunds, Credits & Date Transfers

Booth fees are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-creditable.
If you are unable to attend, your booth fee and reserved space will be forfeited. Please do not request exceptions, as this policy applies to all vendors.

Booth Transfers

Booth spaces may not be sold, shared, or transferred to another vendor under any circumstances.

Load-In Information

A detailed load-in email, including your assigned arrival time, parking information, and event instructions, will be sent during the week of the event.
Please do not email requesting your load-in time before then—we haven't forgotten you!
Load-in times vary by event. Please wait for your official load-in email before planning your arrival.

Booth Placement

We do not accept booth placement requests.
Booth locations are assigned based on vendor categories, booth sizes, spacing requirements, and the overall flow of the market.

Application Status

All applicants will be notified by email regarding the status of their application.
Approval emails are typically sent 4–6 weeks prior to the event, although some may be sent sooner.
If you have not received an approval email by approximately 3–4 weeks before the event, your application was not selected for that market.

This application provides an overview of our policies and requirements; however, it does not include every event guideline.

If your application is approved, you will receive an acceptance email along with our Vendor Guidelines, which contain important information regarding booth setup, load-in, event procedures, market policies, and Anaheim Packing District property requirements.

Please read all materials carefully. If you are unsure whether a setup, display, product, or activity is permitted, please contact us for approval prior to the event.

While we actively market and promote each event, we do not guarantee sales, foot traffic, customer engagement, or attendance. Attendance and purchasing behavior are influenced by many factors beyond our control, including weather, competing events, seasonal trends, economic conditions, and other unforeseen circumstances.

By participating, vendors acknowledge and accept that The Makers Hive Market cannot guarantee sales or attendance and agree that these factors are not grounds for refunds, credits, transfers, or chargebacks.
